Gucci Mane is a distinctly American rapper who is known for his songs about life involved with gun violence, drugs, and doing what it takes to get by in America. I thought it would be interesting to juxtapose his rap lyrics with his positive demeanor. Inspired by his vintage glasses and ironic home embroidery quotes, I hand embroidered quotes from his songs on embroidery hoops. I then photographed and designed the posters around these pieces.
