Handpoke tattooing is a practice that has been around since the beginning of tattoo-ing. The DIY tattoo scene has become more prevalent in recent years because of the accessibility and inclusivity of the communnity that caters specifically to women and LGBTQ+ audiences. I picked up handpoking during the pandemic and was taught by professionals in my community. This manifesto details my experiences.

I chose to Risograph print this zine with images of my work and my writing to display my thoughts and experiences along with the final product. I used vellum paper with blue ink because of its visual similarity to the stencil paper I use along with a light tan paper with blue and red ink to represent the skin.
